With Spring on our minds, a member shared this Easter table runner that she created.

Here is a close-up of the focal point of the runner.

Here is a close-up of the Smocked "eggs".

Isn't the smocked chick cute?!!!

...and let's not forget the egg!!!

A member shared her counter change smocked robe.

Here is the back detail of the counter change smocking...it simply requires fabric made up of squares and some know-how...

Here you can see how pulling the squares together in a certain pattern creates the interesting look...

Here is the pattern created on the shoulder by using the counter change method....

...and finally the sleeve is not left out...this is such a cool effect, which can be created on gingham, and other geometric or striped fabrics....love it!!!

A member smocked this precious Wee Care gown....

which has an almost "ombre" effect in the geometric smocking.

A different member smocked this lovely Wee Care gown....

...which incorporates beads, along with a heart smocked design to create a soft effect.

It appears that pink was the color of the month...here are two sweet Wee Care gowns created by another member...

...see the smocking detail on the first gown ..so well done...

...and a similar smocking design, but with a different collar finish using a casing with ribbon rather than the traditional bias binding.

A member also created this different style Wee Care gown, which incorporates pintucks, pleats and embroidery...

...it has a casing with ribbon closure...

...see the cute pleated detail in the sleeve....

...and the embroidered cross near the hem makes the gown so special.

A member shared this scarf that she received as a gift from a friend. What makes it interesting is how the rectangular piece was folded to create the shape....

....and the beautiful handmade flower detail...very unique!

The closure is also interesting.

Another member created this wool house pincushion.

Here is a close-up of it on an angle....

...it is rustic, yet with a bit of elegance from the addition of the embroidery and bead door knob...So cute!

A member used an article in our national SAGA News magazine to make this scissors fob...

It is a fun and simple project that is useful for our everyday lives...

...since it helps protect the tip of our all important sewing scissors if they are dropped.

A member shared this handmade Valentine, which she received from a dear friend...

...nothing beats the uniqueness of a handmade item to make the receiver feel special!

Hope you enjoyed these creations, and we hope you keep creating!!!
